"[We] caused Jesus, son of Mary, to follow in their footsteps" up to His saying: "...it is those who are the defiantly disobedient (al-fasiqun)." Al-fisq (disobedience) here means: shirk (polytheism).

Muhammad said: The meaning of "qaffayna" is: we caused to follow, and the noun derived from it is: taqfiyah.
