"And beware of them, lest they seduce you," meaning: distract you, "away from some of what Allah has revealed to you. Then if they turn away," meaning: the Jews, from some of what Allah has revealed to you, "know that Allah only intends to afflict them for some of their sins," by having them killed, exiled, and the jizya taken from them in humiliation and submissiveness.

"And indeed, many of the people are defiantly disobedient," meaning: the Jews and others among the disbelievers.
