"(They are) humble toward the believers, powerful against the disbelievers." This is like His saying: "Severe against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves."
﴿أَذِلَّةٍ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَعِزَّةٍ عَلَى الْكَافرين﴾ هُوَ كَقَوْلِهِ: ﴿أَشِدَّاءُ عَلَى الْكُفَّارِ رحماء بَينهم﴾.
