"Allah has promised the hypocrite men and the hypocrite women," up to His saying: "it is sufficient for them." Muhammad said: It is said: 'Such-and-such is sufficient (hasb) for so-and-so,' meaning: that corresponds to the measure of his deed.
﴿وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الْمُنَافِقِينَ وَالْمُنَافِقَاتِ﴾ إِلَى قَوْله: ﴿هِيَ حسبهم﴾ قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: يُقَالُ: حَسْبُ فُلانٍ مَا نَزَلَ بِهِ؛ أَيْ: ذَلِكَ على قدر فعله.
