"They ask your permission, those among them who possess wealth" (al-tawl) meaning: those who possess riches, to stay behind from Jihad, "and they said: 'Leave us to be with those who sit at home.'"
﴿استئذنك أولو الطول مِنْهُم﴾ أَيْ: ذَوُو الْغِنَى فِي التَّخَلُّفِ عَنِ الْجِهَادِ ﴿وَقَالُوا ذَرْنَا نَكُنْ مَعَ القاعدين﴾
