Then He said: "Shall I inform you of [what is] worse than that as a penalty from Allah?" [Meaning: as a reward]. "[It is that of] those whom Allah has cursed and with whom He became angry and made of them apes and pigs and slaves of Taghut." Al-Hasan said: He says, "Allah made that of them [folio 85] because they worshipped the Taghut," meaning: Satan.
"Those are worse in position" in the Hereafter, "and further astray from the sound way," meaning: from the straight path of guidance.
Muhammad said: It was said that "slaves of Taghut" is coordinated with His saying, "whom Allah has cursed and with whom He became angry."
Surat al-Ma'idah from verse (61) to verse (64).
ثُمَّ قَالَ: ﴿هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِشَرٍّ من ذَلِك مثوبة﴾ [يَعْنِي: ثَوَابًا] ﴿عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مَنْ لَعَنَهُ اللَّهُ وَغَضِبَ عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلَ مِنْهُمُ الْقِرَدَةَ وَالْخَنَازِيرَ وَعَبَدَ الطَّاغُوتَ﴾ قَالَ الْحَسَنُ: يَقُولُ: جَعَلَ اللَّهُ ذَلِك مِنْهُم (ل ٨٥) بِمَا عَبَدُوا الطَّاغُوتَ؛ يَعْنِي: الشَّيْطَانَ.
﴿أُولَئِكَ شَرّ مَكَانا﴾ فِي الْآخِرَةِ ﴿وَأَضَلُّ عَنْ سَوَاءِ السَّبِيل﴾ يَعْنِي: عَنْ قَصْدِ طَرِيقِ الْهُدَى.
قَالَ مُحَمَّد: وَقيل: إِن ﴿عبد الطاغوت﴾ نسقٌ عَلَى قَوْلِهِ: ﴿لَعَنَهُ اللَّهُ وَغَضب عَلَيْهِ﴾.
