{And whenever a surah is revealed, there are among them those who say}, meaning: the hypocrites, {which of you has this increased in faith?} They say this to one another. Allah, the Exalted, said: {As for those who have believed, it has increased them in faith}, in confirmation, {and they are rejoicing} in what comes from Allah.
﴿وَإِذَا مَا أُنْزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ فَمِنْهُمْ من يَقُول﴾ يَعْنِي: الْمُنَافِقِينَ ﴿أَيُّكُمْ زَادَتْهُ هَذِهِ إِيمَانًا﴾ يَقُولُهُ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ، قَالَ اللَّهُ ﷿: ﴿فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فزادتهم إِيمَانًا﴾ تَصْدِيقًا ﴿وهم يستبشرون﴾ بِمَا يَجِيءُ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ
