His saying, may He be exalted: "To Him is your return all together," meaning: the Resurrection. "The promise of Allah is true" regarding the return to Him. "Indeed, He begins creation and then repeats it," meaning: He gives life, then causes it to die, then He begins it again and gives it life, "that He may reward"—so that He may reward—"those who have believed and done righteous deeds by justice," meaning: with fairness, He shall reward them with Paradise. "And those who disbelieved will have a drink of scalding water," which is that whose heat has reached its peak.
قَوْلُهُ ﷿: ﴿إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا﴾ يَعْنِي: الْبَعْثَ ﴿وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقًّا﴾ فِي الْمرجع إِلَيْهِ ﴿إِنَّه يبدؤ الْخلق ثمَّ يُعِيدهُ﴾ أَيْ: يُحْيِيهِ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُهُ، ثُمَّ يبدؤه فيحييه ﴿ليجزي﴾ لَكِي يَجْزِيَ ﴿الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَات بِالْقِسْطِ﴾ بِالْعَدْلِ يَجْزِيهِمُ الْجَنَّةَ ﴿وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَهُم شرابٌ من حميم﴾ وَهُوَ الَّذِي قَدِ انْتَهَى حَرُّهُ.
