It has reached me that it [the ark] set sail with them on the tenth day of Rajab, and it remained in the water for one hundred and fifty days, and it rested with them upon al-Jūdī for a month, and they descended to the earth on the tenth day of al-Muḥarram.

Qatāda said:

It was mentioned to us that Noah, peace be upon him, sent the crow to look for the water, but it found a carcass and landed upon it. So he sent the [dove] to it, and it brought him an olive leaf, and for that it was given the collar around its neck and the dye on its feet.
