"But they slaughtered her. So he said: 'Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days. That is a promise not to be belied.'" They asked him: 'What is the sign of that, so we may know that you are truthful?' He replied: 'The sign of that is that your faces will become yellow on the first day, red on the second day, and black on the third day.' When that occurred, they knew it was the punishment, so they embalmed themselves and shrouded themselves. When evening came, they remained in [ ... ], then the punishment came upon them in the morning of the fourth day.
﴿فَعَقَرُوهَا فَقَالَ تَمَتَّعُوا فِي دَارِكُمْ ثَلاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ ذَلِكَ وَعْدٌ غَيْرُ مَكْذُوب﴾ فَقَالُوا لَهُ: مَا آيَةُ ذَلِكَ حَتَّى نَعْلَمَ أَنَّكَ صَادِقٌ؟ فَقَالَ: آيَةُ ذَلِكَ أَنْ وُجُوهَكُمْ تُصْبِحُ أَوَّلَ يَوْمٍ مُصْفَرَّةً، وَالْيَوْمُ الثَّانِي مُحْمَرَّةً، وَالْيَوْمُ الثَّالِثُ مُسْوَدَّةً، فَلَمَّا كَانَ ذَلِكَ عَرَفُوا أَنَّهُ الْعَذَابُ، فَتَحَنَّطُوا وَتَكَفَّنُوا، فَلَمَّا أَمْسَوْا بَقَوْا فِي [ … ] ثُمَّ صَبَّحَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ فِي الْيَوْم الرَّابِع.
