"Indeed, Abraham was forbearing, grieving, and oft-turning." The word al-munib (the one who turns) means the sincere one. We have already mentioned the meaning of al-awwah (the one who sighs/grieves) prior to this.
﴿إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لَحَلِيمٌ أَوَّاهٌ مُنِيبٌ﴾ الْمُنِيبُ: الْمُخْلِصُ، وَقَدْ ذَكَرْنَا الأَوَّاهُ قبل هَذَا.
