"But as for those who were prosperous" up to His saying, the Mighty and Majestic: "Except as your Lord wills," meaning: what those who entered before them were preceded by. He said: "And those who feared their Lord will be driven to Paradise in groups," he said: A group enters after a group.
In the Tafsir of al-Suddi: "Except as your Lord wills" means: what was remaining for the people of monotheism who were brought out of the Fire.
"A gift without end," meaning: without being cut off.
﴿وَأما الَّذين سعدوا﴾ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ ﷿: ﴿إِلا مَا شَاءَ رَبك﴾ يَعْنِي: مَا سَبَقَهُمْ بِهِ الَّذِينَ دَخَلُوا قَبْلَهُمْ؛ قَالَ: ﴿وَسِيقَ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا رَبَّهُمْ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ زُمَرًا﴾ قَالَ: زُمْرَةٌ تَدْخُلُ بَعْدَ الزُّمْرَةِ.
وَفِي تَفْسِيرِ السُّدِّيِّ: ﴿إِلا مَا شَاءَ رَبك﴾ يَعْنِي: مَا نَقَصَ لأَهْلِ التَّوْحِيدِ الَّذِينَ أُخْرِجُوا مِنَ النَّارِ.
﴿عَطَاءً غير مجذوذ﴾ أَي: غير مَقْطُوع.
