'And put your hand,' meaning: into your pocket; that is, into the opening of your shirt, 'it will come out white without any evil.' Al-Hasan said: By God, he brought it out as if it were a lamp. 'Among nine signs,' meaning: his hand, his staff, the flood, the locusts, the lice, the frogs, the blood, the years (of drought), and the loss of wealth, lives, and fruits.
Muhammad said: His statement: 'Among nine,' means: from nine, where 'among' (fi) carries the meaning of 'from' (min).
