"So when she arrived, it was said, 'Is your throne like this?' She said, 'It is as if it were it.'" Qatadah said: She likened it to it, for she had left it behind her, yet she found it in front of her. "'And we were given knowledge before it,'" Solomon says this, meaning: Prophethood.
﴿فَلَمَّا جَاءَتْ قِيلَ أَهَكَذَا عَرْشُكِ قَالَت كَأَنَّهُ هُوَ﴾ قَالَ قَتَادَةَ: شَبَّهَتْهُ بِهِ، وَكَانَتْ قَدْ تَرَكَتْهُ خَلْفَهَا، فَوَجَدَتْهُ أَمَامَهَا. ﴿وأوتينا الْعلم من قبلهَا﴾ سُلَيْمَان يَقُوله؛ يَعْنِي: النُّبُوَّة
