"And she was hindered by what she used to worship besides Allah," meaning it hindered her from being guided to the truth, "for she was from a disbelieving people."
Muhammad said: Whoever reads 'innaha' (إِنَّهَا) with the kasrah on the alif, it is treated as an inaugural (isti'naf) statement.
﴿وَصَدَّهَا مَا كَانَتْ تَعْبُدُ مِنْ دون الله﴾ صَدَّهَا أَنْ تَهْتَدِيَ لِلْحَقِّ ﴿إِنَّهَا كَانَت من قوم كَافِرين﴾.
قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: مَنْ قَرَأَ (إِنَّهَا) بِكَسْرِ الْأَلِفِ، فَهُوَ عَلَى (الِاسْتِئْنَافِ).
