That is, their belief. [Bal hum fi shakkin minha] (Nay, they are in doubt concerning it) — meaning: the Hereafter. [Bal hum minha 'amun] (Nay, they are blind to it) — meaning: they are blind concerning it; they do not know what the reckoning is within it, nor what the punishment is.
أَيْ: إِيمَانُهُمْ ﴿بَلْ هُمْ فِي شكّ مِنْهَا﴾ يَعْنِي: الْآخِرَةَ ﴿بَلْ هُمْ مِنْهَا عمون﴾ أَيْ: عَمُوا عَنْهَا لَا يَدْرُونَ مَا الْحِسَابُ فِيهَا وَمَا الْعَذَابُ.
