"So he intended to expel them from the land," meaning the land of Egypt, that is: to drive them out of it by killing.
﴿فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَسْتَفِزَّهُمْ مِنَ الأَرْضِ﴾ يَعْنِي: أَرْضَ مِصْرَ؛ أَيْ: يُخْرِجَهُمْ مِنْهَا بِالْقَتْلِ
