"Indeed, you do not guide whom you love" was revealed concerning Abu Talib, when the Prophet (peace be upon him) urged him to say: 'There is no god but Allah,' but he refused. "And He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided," meaning: those for whom guidance has been ordained.
