"And those who disbelieve say to those who believe, 'Follow our way, and we will carry your sins,'" meaning: whatever sin is in it, it is [upon us]. This is, on their part, a denial of the Resurrection and the Reckoning.
Muhammad said: "And we will carry" is an imperative in the interpretation of a conditional sentence and its consequence. The meaning is: "If you follow our way, we will carry your sins," meaning: if there is any sin in it, we will carry it. And to this [referring to the end of the text].
﴿وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتبعُوا سبيلنا ولنحمل خطاياكم﴾ أَيْ: مَا كَانَ فِيهِ مِنْ إِثْمٍ فَهُوَ [عَلَيْنَا] وَهَذَا مِنْهُمْ إِنْكَارٌ لِلْبَعْثِ وَالْحِسَابِ.
قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: (ولنحمل) هُوَ أَمْرٌ فِي تَأْوِيلِ الشَّرْطِ وَالْجَزَاءِ، الْمَعْنَى: إِنْ تَتَّبِعُوا سَبِيلَنَا حملنَا خطاياكم أَيْ إِنْ كَانَ فِيهِ إِثْمٌ فَنحْن نحمله وَإِلَى هَذَا
