"And when Our messengers came to Lot, he was distressed for them and felt straitened for them"—because of what he feared for them from the actions of his people, as he thought they were human beings. "And they said, 'Do not fear and do not grieve'"—the angels said this to Lot.
﴿وَلَمَّا أَنْ جَاءَتْ رُسُلُنَا لُوطًا سِيءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًا﴾ لِمَا تَخَوَّفَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ فِعْلِ قَوْمِهِ، وَهُوَ يَظُنُّ أَنَّهُمْ آدَمِيُّونَ. ﴿وَقَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ وَلا تَحْزَنْ﴾ الْمَلَائِكَة قالته للوط
