تفسير القرآن العزيز لابن أبي زمنين
مجلد 3 · صفحة 129١٠٩

الترجمة · EN

And "they fall upon their chins," meaning: their faces. "Weeping, and it increases them" meaning: the Quran, "in humility." Humility is the fear that is firmly established in the heart.

Muhammad said: The singular of "adhqan" (chins) is "dhaqn"; it is the junction of the two jaws, and it is an organ among the organs of the face. "Prostrating" is in the accusative case as a circumstantial qualifier (hal). "Say, Call upon Allah or call upon the Most Merciful."
