"God created the heavens and the earth in truth"—meaning: for the resurrection and the reckoning—"indeed in that is a sign," meaning: a lesson for the believers, that is: indeed He who created the heavens and the earth will resurrect the creation on the Day of Resurrection.
﴿خلق الله السَّمَاوَات وَالْأَرْض بِالْحَقِّ﴾ أَيْ: لِلْبَعْثِ وَالْحِسَابِ ﴿إِنَّ فِي ذَلِك لآيَة﴾ لَعِبْرَةً لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ، أَيْ: إِنَّ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ يَبْعَثُ الْخَلْقَ يَوْم الْقِيَامَة.
