"And of His signs is that He sends the winds as bringers of glad tidings" of rain, "and to let you taste of His mercy," meaning: the rain, "and that the ships may sail" meaning: the vessels, "by His command, and that you may seek of His bounty," meaning: seeking trade on the sea.
Surah Ar-Rum, from (verse 48 to verse 50).
﴿وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنْ يُرْسِلَ الرِّيَاحَ مُبَشِّرَات﴾ بالمطر ﴿وليذيقكم من رَحمته﴾ يَعْنِي: الْمَطَر ﴿ولتجري الْفلك﴾ يَعْنِي: السُّفُنَ ﴿بِأَمْرِهِ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضله﴾ يَعْنِي: طَلَبَ التِّجَارَةِ فِي الْبَحْرِ.
