"And those who have been given knowledge and faith will say: 'You have remained in the Book of Allah until the Day of Resurrection.'" This is among the introductory expressions. It means: And those who were given knowledge in the Book of Allah and faith will say: "You have remained until the Day of Resurrection," meaning: their duration which took place in the world and in their graves until they were resurrected. "So this is the Day of Resurrection, but you used to"—in the world—"not know" that the Resurrection is the truth.
