"Muhammad is not the father of [any] one of your men," meaning: Muhammad was not the father of Zayd, rather Zayd was merely his adopted son, "but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets."
﴿مَا كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ أَبَا أَحَدٍ من رجالكم﴾ يَعْنِي: أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا لَمْ يَكُنْ أَبًا لِزَيْدٍ، وَإِنَّمَا كَانَ زَيْدٌ دَعِيًّا لَهُ ﴿وَلَكِنْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَخَاتم النَّبِيين﴾.
