"And they will wear garments of sundus (fine silk) and istabraq (thick silk)," and they are two types of silk.

Muhammad said: It was said that the sundus is the thin variety of brocade, and the istabraq is its thick variety. "Reclining therein on thrones (ara'ik)," in the interpretation of Ibn Abbas: The ara'ik are couches upon which there are canopies.
