"And We send not the messengers except as bringers of good tidings"—of Paradise—"and as warners"—against the Fire—"but those who disbelieve argue with falsehood to invalidate thereby the truth," meaning: to cause it to vanish as they imagine, yet they are unable to do so.
Surah Al-Kahf (Verse 57 to Verse 60).
﴿وَمَا نُرْسِلُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلا مُبَشِّرِينَ﴾ بِالْجنَّةِ ﴿ومنذرين﴾ مِنَ النَّارِ ﴿وَيُجَادِلُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِالْبَاطِلِ ليدحضوا بِهِ الْحق﴾ أَيْ: لِيُذْهِبُوهُ فِيمَا يَظُنُّونَ وَلَا يقدرُونَ على ذَلِك.
