When she saw him, she said: "Indeed, I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from you, if you are pious [inni a'udhu bil-rahmani minka in kunta taqiyya]." Al-Hasan said: She is saying: If you are pious toward Allah, then avoid me."
فَلَمَّا رَأَتْهُ قَالَتْ: ﴿إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِالرَّحْمَنْ مِنْكَ إِنْ كُنْتَ تَقِيًّا﴾ قَالَ الْحَسَنُ: تَقُولُ: إِنْ كُنْتَ تقيا لله فاجتنبني
