"And God increases those who have been guided in guidance," meaning: He increases them in faith. "And the enduring good deeds"—Al-Hasan said: These are the obligatory religious duties—"are better with your Lord for reward," as compensation in the Hereafter, "and better for final outcome," meaning: better in their consequence than the deeds of the disbelievers.
Surah Maryam (from verse 77 to verse 87).
﴿وَيَزِيدُ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ اهْتَدَوْا هُدًى﴾ يَعْنِي: يَزِيدَهُمْ إِيمَانًا ﴿وَالْبَاقِيَاتُ الصَّالِحَاتُ﴾ قَالَ الْحَسَنُ: هِيَ الْفَرَائِضُ ﴿خَيْرٌ عِنْد رَبك ثَوابًا﴾ جَزَاءً فِي الْآخِرَةِ ﴿وَخَيْرٌ مَرَدًّا﴾ يَعْنِي: خَيْرٌ عَاقِبَةً مِنْ أَعْمَالِ الْكفَّار.
