تفسير القرآن العزيز لابن أبي زمنين
مجلد 3 · صفحة 507١٨

الترجمة · EN

"Nay, We fling the truth against falsehood"—meaning the Quran against falsehood, which is polytheism—"and it breaks its head (yadmaughuhu), then it vanishes," meaning it departs.

Muhammad said: His saying "and it breaks its head" means it shatters it. The origin of this [word] is the striking of the head and the brain, which is a lethal blow. "And for you is the woe"—the punishment—"for what you attribute." Qatadah said: [It is] due to their saying that the angels are the daughters of Allah.

Surah Al-Anbiya from (verse 19 to verse 28).
