“And We had certainly given Abraham his guidance before,” meaning: prophethood. “And We were, of him, well-knowing” that he would convey the message from Allah.
﴿وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ رُشْدَهُ مِنْ قبل﴾ يَعْنِي: النُّبُوَّةَ ﴿وَكُنَّا بِهِ عَالِمِينَ﴾ أَنَّهُ سَيُبَلِّغُ عَنِ اللَّهِ الرِّسَالَةَ.
