His saying: "Until, when opened" means: they are released, "Gog and Magog, and they, from every hill, will descend." Qatadah said: This means from every mound they emerge.
Muhammad said: "Al-nasalan" (descending) in the language means the quickening of pace while hurrying.
قَوْله: ﴿حَتَّى إِذا فتحت﴾ أَيْ: أُرْسِلَتْ ﴿يَأْجُوجُ وَمَأْجُوجُ وَهُمْ من كل حدب يَنْسلونَ﴾ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ: يَعْنِي: مِنْ كُلِّ أَكَمَةٍ يَخْرُجُونَ.
قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: النَّسَلَانِ فِي اللُّغَةِ: مُقَارَبَةُ الْخَطْوِ مَعَ الْإِسْرَاع.
