"Indeed, you and what you worship other than Allah," Al-Hasan said: meaning the devils who invited them to the worship of idols, for by their worship of idols, they are worshippers of the devils. "Are the firewood of Hell," meaning: they will be thrown into it.
﴿إِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ الله﴾ قَالَ الْحَسَنُ: يَعْنِي: الشَّيَاطِينَ الَّذِينَ دَعَوْهُمْ إِلَى عِبَادَةِ الْأَوْثَانِ؛ لِأَنَّهُمْ بِعِبَادَتِهِمُ الْأَوْثَانَ عَابِدُونَ لِلشَّيَاطِينِ ﴿حَصَبُ جَهَنَّم﴾ أَيْ: يُرْمَى بِهِمْ فِيهَا.
