"Indeed, those for whom the best has preceded from Us" – meaning: Paradise. "They from it" (meaning: the Fire) "shall be distanced." Al-Kalbi said: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, stood facing the door of the Ka'bah, then he recited this verse: "Indeed, you and what you worship other than Allah are the firewood of Hell." ﴿إِنَّ الَّذِينَ سَبَقَتْ لَهُمْ مِنَّا الْحسنى﴾ يَعْنِي: الْجنَّة ﴿أُولَئِكَ عَنْهَا﴾ (يَعْنِي: النَّار) ﴿مبعدون﴾ قَالَ الْكَلْبِيُّ: قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ عليه السلام مُقَابِلَ بَابِ الْكَعْبَةِ، ثُمَّ اقْتَرَأَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ: ﴿إِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ﴾ فَوَجِدَ مِنْهَا
