"And the camels We have appointed for you as among the symbols of Allah; for you therein is good," meaning: a reward in sacrificing them, and giving charity from them, through which they draw closer to Allah.

Muhammad said: Whoever reads (al-budna) in the accusative case (nasb), it is based on an implicit verb; the meaning is: And We have appointed the camels. "So mention the name of Allah over them as they stand in rows (sawaff)," Mujahid’s interpretation means: hobbled while standing. And it is in the recitation of Ibn Mas'ud (sawafina).

Muhammad said: Whoever reads (sawaff) with a shaddah, the meaning is: its legs are aligned, and the accusative case in it is as an adverbial state (hal), and it is not tanweened because it is diptote (la yansarif). And whoever reads (sawafina), the safin is that which stands on three legs. It is said: The horse 'safana' (stood on three legs); when it lifts one of its legs and stands on the tip of the hoof. As for the camel, when they intend to slaughter it, one of its forelegs is tied, so it is the 'safin', and the plural is 'sawafinu'. It was also read (sawafiya) with a ya and a fatha without tanween, and its interpretation is: khawalis (pure ones); meaning: pure for Allah, not associating anyone with Allah, Exalted and Majestic, in
