"And say: My Lord, land me at a blessed landing place." He said this to Noah when he disembarked from the ship.
Muhammad said: It is read as "munzalan" and "manzalan." The "manzal" is the noun for the place in which one lands, and the "munzal" is the verbal noun (masdar) in the sense of the act of landing.
﴿وَقُلْ رَبِّ أَنْزِلْنِي مُنْزَلا مُبَارَكًا﴾ قَالَ هَذَا لِنُوحٍ حِينَ نَزَلَ مِنَ السَّفِينَةِ.
قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: تُقْرَأُ ﴿منزلا﴾ وَ ﴿مَنْزَلا﴾؛ فَالْمَنْزِلُ: اسْمٌ لِمَا نَزَلْتَ فِيهِ، وَالْمُنْزَلُ: الْمَصْدَرُ؛ بِمَعْنَى الْإِنْزَال.
