تفسير القرآن العزيز لابن أبي زمنين
مجلد 3 · صفحة 76٦٤

الترجمة · EN

Regarding His saying: "And incite [to disobedience] whoever you can among them with your voice [vocal sound]," al-Hasan's interpretation is: it refers to the tambourine and the flute.

Muhammad [ibn Abi Zamanin] said: The meaning of "incite" (istafziz) is: "make light of [their resolve]" or "agitate them." "And assault them with your horses and your foot soldiers"—Mujahid said: Every rider traveling in disobedience to Allah is part of Iblis's cavalry, and every person walking in disobedience to Allah is part of Iblis's infantry. "And share with them in wealth and children"—Mujahid's interpretation is: "in wealth" means whatever wealth is gained without obedience to Allah, and "children" means the children of fornication. "And promise them" with false hopes, for there is no resurrection, no Paradise, and no Fire. This is a threat from Allah to the Devil, similar to a man saying to his companion: "Go and exert your utmost effort," while not actually commanding him to do so. He said: "And the Devil does not promise them except delusion."

Surat al-Isra (Verses 65-69).
