تفسير القرآن العزيز لابن أبي زمنين
مجلد 3 · صفحة 791٢

الترجمة · EN

"The woman and the man guilty of fornication, flog each of them with a hundred stripes." This applies to free people if they are not muhsan (previously married or in a state of valid marriage); if they are both muhsan, they are to be stoned.

Muhammad said: Whoever reads "al-zaniyah" in the nominative case (raf'), its interpretation is that of an initial subject (mubtada'). Al-Hasan said: The ruling of stoning was in the mushaf of Ubayy ibn Ka'b, and it is also in our mushaf, in Surat al-Ma'idah, in His saying: "Verily, We did send down the Torah; therein was guidance and light, by which the prophets who submitted themselves to Allah's will, judged."
