'That we may send upon them stones of clay.' He stated here: 'of clay,' and he stated in another verse: 'of Sijjil.'
Muhammad said: Ibn Abbas's interpretation of 'of Sijjil' is: 'of baked clay (ajur).'
﴿لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِنْ طِينٍ﴾ قَالَ هَا هُنَا: ﴿من طين﴾ وَقَالَ فِي آيَة أُخْرَى: ﴿مِنْ سجيل﴾.
قَالَ محمدٌ: تَفْسِير ابْن عَبَّاس ﴿من سجيل﴾: من آجُر﴾.
