{Or do they possess the treasures of your Lord?}—that is: the knowledge of the unseen. {Or are they the controllers?}—that is: the masters. Meaning: that Allah is the Lord—blessed be His name.
Muhammad said: It is said: "You have controlled me" (tasaytart); that is: you have taken me as a servant. It is written with both 'sin' (س) and 'sad' (ص), and the root is 'sin'. Every 'sin' followed by a 'ta' (ط) may be changed into a 'sad'.
﴿أم عِنْدهم خَزَائِن رَبك﴾ يَعْنِي: علمَ الْغَيْب ﴿أَمْ هُمُ المصيطرون﴾ يَعْنِي: الأرباب، أَي: إنّ اللَّه هُوَ الرَّبُّ - تبَارك اسْمُه.
قَالَ محمدٌ: يُقَال: تَصيطرتَ عليَّ، أَي: اتخذتّني خَوَلًا. وَيكْتب بِالسِّين وَالصَّاد، والأصْلُ السِّين وكل سين بعْدهَا طاءٌ يجوز أَن تقلب صادًا.
