"O you who have believed, when you [wish to] privately consult the Messenger, present before your consultation a charity" up to His saying: "And Allah is All-Aware of what you do." The interpretation of Qatadah: He said: "The people importuned the Messenger of Allah with questions until they harmed him. So, Allah cut them off from him with this verse: 'O you who have believed, when you [wish to] privately consult the Messenger, present before your consultation a charity.' Thus, one of them could not ask the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) a need until he presented a charity before his consultation, which was difficult for them."
