His saying: "And those"—meaning, and for those—is a continuation of the first discourse, "who came after them"—meaning: after the companions of the Prophet until the Day of Resurrection. Thus, there does not remain anyone but that he has a right in this wealth, whether he is given it or denied it. "Saying, Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith"—they are the companions of the Prophet— "and do not place in our hearts resentment"—envy— "toward those who have believed."
Tafsir of Surat al-Hashr from verse 11 to verse 14.
قَوْله: ﴿وَالَّذين﴾ أَي وللذين، هُوَ تبعٌ للْكَلَام الأول ﴿جَاءُوا من بعدهمْ﴾ يَعْنِي: بعد أَصْحَاب النَّبِي إِلَى يَوْم الْقِيَامَة، فَلم يبْق أحدٌ إِلَّا وَله فِي هَذَا المَال حقٌّ أُعْطِيَهُ أَو مُنِعَه ﴿يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذين سبقُونَا بِالْإِيمَان﴾ هم أَصْحَاب النَّبِي ﴿وَلا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبنَا غلا﴾ حسداً ﴿للَّذين آمنُوا﴾.
