{The Exalted (al-'Aziz),} al-Hasan's interpretation: through His might, those beneath Him are humbled. {The Compeller (al-Jabbar),} the interpretation of some: the One who subdues His creation by what He wills. {The Supreme (al-Mutakabbir),} He who is supreme over His creation. {Exalted is Allah (Subhan Allah),} He has declared Himself free from what they associate with Him.
﴿الْعَزِيز﴾ تَفْسِير الْحسن: بعزَّته ذلَّ مَنْ دونه ﴿الْجَبَّار﴾ تَفْسِير بَعضهم: القاهر لخلقه بِمَا أَرَادَ ﴿المتكبر﴾ الَّذِي يتكبّر على خلْقه ﴿سُبْحَانَ الله﴾ نزّه نفْسه ﴿عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ﴾.
