"The likeness of those who were entrusted with the Torah" means: the Jews, "but who have not carried it"—they denied parts of it, which is their rejection of Muhammad and Islam, and what they altered in the Torah. Whoever disbelieves in a single letter of the Book of Allah has disbelieved in it all. "[is as] the likeness of a donkey carrying volumes." Asfar (volumes) means books. He likened them to a donkey that, even if all the books of Allah were loaded upon it, would not know what it was carrying. "And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people"—those who meet Allah with their polytheism.
Tafsir of Surat al-Jumu'ah, verses 6 through 8.
