"And when it is said to them: Come," meaning: sincereize your faith, "so that the Messenger of Allah may ask forgiveness for you, they turn their heads away," meaning: they turn away, "and you see them averting" from the religion of Allah, "while they are arrogant," "denying."
﴿وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا﴾ أَي: أخلِصُوا الْإِيمَان ﴿يَسْتَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ لَوَّوْا رُءُوسَهُمْ﴾ أَي: أَعرضُوا ﴿وَرَأَيْتَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ﴾ عَن دين اللَّه ﴿وَهُم مُسْتَكْبِرُونَ﴾ ﴿مكذبون
