[Meaning: Ask them, O Muhammad: Did We create the angels as females]?! "While they were witnesses" to their creation [as He said in Surah al-Zukhruf: "And they made the angels, who are servants of the Most Merciful, females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned."].
"Unquestionably, it is out of their lie"—meaning their falsehood—"that they say,"
[يُرِيد تَسْأَلهُمْ يَا مُحَمَّد: أخلقنا الْمَلَائِكَة إِنَاثًا]؟! ﴿وهم شاهدون﴾ لخَلْقهم [كَمَا قَالَ فِي الزخرف: ﴿وَجَعَلُوا الْمَلائِكَةَ الَّذِينَ هُمْ عِبَادُ الرَّحْمَنِ إِنَاثًا أَشَهِدُوا خَلْقَهُمْ سَتُكْتَبُ شَهَادَتهم ويسألون﴾].
﴿أَلا إِنَّهُم من إفكهم﴾ كذبهمْ ﴿ليقولون﴾
