[And protect them from the evil deeds]—meaning: Hell, for it is the recompense for polytheism—[and whoever You protect from the evil deeds]—meaning: You turn them away from him.
﴿وقهم السَّيِّئَات﴾ يَعْنِي: جَهَنَّم هِيَ جَزَاء الشّرك ﴿وَمن تق السَّيِّئَات﴾ أَي: تصرف عَنهُ
