[Indeed, those who disbelieved will be called]—while they are in the Fire: [The hatred of Allah is greater than your hatred of yourselves]—meaning: Allah's hatred for them in their disobedience is greater than their hatred of themselves in the Fire. This is because each of them hates himself [when you were called to faith]—in the worldly life—[and you refused].
﴿إِن الَّذين كفرُوا ينادون﴾ وهم فِي النَّار: ﴿لَمَقْتُ اللَّهِ أكبر من مقتكم أَنفسكُم﴾ أَي: لمقت اللَّه إيَّاهُم فِي مَعْصِيَته أكبر من مقتهم أنفسهم فِي النَّار، وَذَلِكَ أَن أحدهم يمقت نَفسه ﴿إِذْ تُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى الْإِيمَان﴾ فِي الدُّنْيَا ﴿فَتَكْفُرُونَ﴾
