Al-Hasan ibn Dinar, on the authority of al-Hasan, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), related something similar. He said: "They asked: O Messenger of Allah, how does one act with haste? He replied: He says, 'I have called upon Allah but He has not answered me, and I have asked Him but He has not granted me anything.'"
Interpretation of Surah Ghafir from verse 61 to verse 65.
الْحَسَنُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ نَحْوَ ذَلكَ قَالَ: " قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , كَيْفَ يَسْتَعْجِلُ؟ قَالَ: يَقُولُ قَدْ دَعَوْتُ اللَّهَ فَمَا أَجَابَنِي وَسَأَلْتُهُ فَمَا أَعْطَانِي الله ".
