"And We have not given them any scriptures which they study," meaning: they read them while persisting in their shirk (polytheism).
﴿وَمَا آتَيْنَاهُم مِّن كُتُبٍ يَدْرُسُونَهَا﴾ أَي: يقرءونها بِمَا هُمْ عَلَيْهِ من الشّرك
